由職業訓練局轄下香港知專設計學院所舉辦的香港牛仔節將會是香港一個嶄新、以牛仔時裝和本地文化作主題的設計及文化推廣活動。由創意香港贊助，首屆香港牛仔節將會於2019年1月11日至27日在中環PMQ及深水埗布業地區舉行。配合一連串的宣傳和推廣活動，歷時三個週末的牛仔節將會為香港帶來一股設計及創意藝術發展的新動向。

牛仔節旨在醞釀社會大眾對牛仔時裝的喜愛。這項目將會吸引來自不同階層和背景的參加者，包括香港市民、時裝及文化愛好者、設計師、藝術家、世界各地的商家及旅客等等。屆時公眾將會在珍藏品展覽中走入牛仔時裝的時光隧道裡重新認識及欣賞牛仔時裝歷史；在牛仔設計與藝術市集和工作坊中體驗現在的牛仔布產品的新設計；以及在與社區人士共同設計的項目中探索將來牛仔用料設計的可變性。

Hong Kong Denim Festival (HKDF) is a 3-week cultural and design event that aims to promote denim culture, organised by Vocational Training Council (VTC)/ Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI). It will be held from 11th to 27th Jan 2019 in PMQ, Central and Sham Shui Po fabric wholesale district. HKDF will generate impactful cultural movement for the creative development of denim art and design.

A dynamic series of activities including denim bazaar, exhibition, design workshop, seminar and talk will be offered to embrace the culture and experience of denim from the past, present and future.These activities are designed to arouse people’s emotional attachment with denim chronologically, by revisiting old denim stories and new experience of denim design, attracting participants and visitors from all walks of life, including general public, artists, designers and industrialists.

HKDF will become an iconic art and design event that unites the local denim industry, derives new directions by drawing design experts regionally and internationally, a nurturing ground for denim design visionaries.
